International Journal of Biological Systems and Botanical Biotechnology is a peer-reviewed, open-access, electronic scholarly journal dedicated to advancing high-quality research in biological sciences, plant sciences, and botanical biotechnology. Peer Review Process

International Journal of Biological Systems and Botanical Biotechnology follows a double-blind peer-review process, ensuring anonymity for both authors and reviewers throughout the evaluation. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts with relevant subject expertise. In cases of conflicting reviewer opinions, an additional reviewer may be consulted to ensure a fair and balanced editorial decision.

The journal is committed to maintaining the highest levels of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing.

Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors must present accurate, original, and scientifically sound research with appropriate interpretation and discussion of significance. Manuscripts should include sufficient methodological detail and relevant citations to allow reproducibility.

Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal. All submissions must be original, and proper acknowledgment must be given to prior work. Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or misrepresentation constitutes unethical behavior and is strictly prohibited.

Only individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions should be listed as authors. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors approve the final manuscript and agree to its submission.

Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources. If a significant error is discovered after publication, authors must promptly inform the editorial office to facilitate correction or retraction.

All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism prior to peer review. Any form of plagiarism will result in rejection.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential and must not use or disclose information obtained during the review process for personal advantage. Reviews should be objective, constructive, and focused on scientific merit, originality, and relevance.

Reviewers should identify relevant literature that has not been cited and report any suspected plagiarism or duplicate submission. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed, and reviewers should decline assignments outside their expertise or if timely review is not possible.

Editors’ Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editorial decisions are free from discrimination based on personal or institutional attributes.

Editors must maintain confidentiality, manage conflicts of interest appropriately, and ensure adherence to ethical guidelines. In cases of suspected misconduct, editors are responsible for initiating investigations and taking corrective actions in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Competing Interests

All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any competing interests that could influence the research or review process. Declared conflicts will be disclosed in published articles when relevant.

Submissions from editorial board members or affiliated institutions are handled independently to ensure objectivity and transparency.

Consent and Copyright Issues

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication. All content is published under open-access terms.
